Finally after so much shouts and negative news delhi gets a positive side of preparation going for CWG 2010.Yes,was the answer for the question which was frequently been asked in one or the other way that wether Venues being prepared or prepared are able to be used for Common wealth games or not.

Common wealth games federation is happy with the progress of preperations going in delhi for games. As per Common wealth games CEO Mike hooper who have shown grave concerns in his last visit “We have given out brickbats when they have been deserved on the progress of the venues, but perhaps it’s time to give out a bouquet, because we are really impressed by the amount of work that has been done in the past couple of months“.

Not to mention that games are just three months away and three crucial venues viz the main Jawaharlal Nehru stadium , the aquatic complex and the athletes village are still not ready however the organisers are pleased with the progress.

Expansion of the city’s metro network and the work on more than 20 major infrastructure are yet to finish before the game.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the R. K. Khanna Tennis Stadium, the Delhi University rugby sevens stadium and the National Stadium for hockey are all open-air venues. Several running and cycling events will be held on roads. There are speculations that outdoor public events might get affected by the weather however the orgainzers and i am sure that many delhites are keeping there fingure crossed for the upcoming major event.

So its CWG everywhere

Even this word looks like a big devil which Is responsible for Delhi Jams, Electricity cut of , Water Scarcity, Road Diversions and of coarse Price inflation who can forget this but let see the other part  of the coin.

In this addition of my blog I would like to flash light on all the promises and efforts which Indian Government gave to get the honour of hosting Ninteenth Common Wealth games in India.

There were 2 bidders for the 2010 CWG one was Delhi (India) and the other was Hamilton Ontorio (Canada) . The polh held in November 2003 at CWG Federation in Jamica . India won bid by a margin of 46 votes and  India won second round by promising to give US$ 100,000 to each participating countries …..Believe it or not but it is true….. Successful completion of 2003 Afro-Asian Games also help India to grab the deal.
