In wake of a “Project Delay” process OC is again going to miss deadlines for 5 projects set by Delhi CM Sheila Dixit last month.In order to pace up the work government officials have now categorised all development going in delhi in two parts viz “directly related to Games” and “less to do with Games”.
Work on Barapullah Nullah elevated road will now will be extended over to September. Underpass at Apsara border crossing is likely to made operational only by mid September and this month only one carriageway will be ready.The widening of the Ghazipur crossing – Apsara Border road will also be stretched to September. The longest delay will be of UP link road which will only be completed by September 15 just a fortnight before the games starts.The reson told behind delaying of UP link road is Land issue for which PWD is already batteling in Supreme court.And as far as Apsara border delay is concern PWD told that they didn’t get approval from railway ministry .
Seems like as per the speculations all the projects will likely to be completed just just before the games starts.
